A SUPERSTAR IN THE MAKING – BRITISH COMEDY GUIDE

Comedian, presenter, actor and writer, Stephen Bailey is a proud northern, working class, gay man.

The multi-award nominated star’s indecorous brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats.

Stephen’s credits include Unbreakable (BBC One), co-host on Date or Drop (BBC One) alongside Amanda Holden, Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Would I Lie To You & Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC One), Between The Covers & Strictly: It Takes Two (BBC Two), Pointless Celebrities (BBC One), Live from Barry Island (BBC Wales), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), The Apprentice: You’re Fired & Sara Cox’s Between The Covers (BBC Two), Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2), Tipping Point: Lucky Stars (ITV) and a regular CelebAbility (ITV2).

Most recently, he has recorded BBC’s new stand-up show Live From Barry Island and his debut BBC Radio 4 stand-up special “Stephen Bailey: One of Many”

After performing on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), he was commissioned to record his own 30 minute comedy special which aired on the channel in 2019. Over lockdown Stephen wrote and starred in his own mini-series Comedians in Quarantine: House Olympics for Comedy Central and created a true-crime podcast with his lawyer boyfriend called Order in the Bedroom (iTunes). As well as being a prominent talent on the UK comedy circuit, he has also supported the biggest names in stand-up, including Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Sarah Millican.

Stephen’s quick-wit, playful sarcasm and enigmatic charm captivates instantly. He has already made a name for himself hosting Celebs on the Farm (Channel 5), Celebs on the Ranch (MTV) and Takeshi’s Castle (Comedy Central). He was the resident Agony Uncle on Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday (ITV) and a series regular on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side(Channel 5).

Stephen is also the narrator of ITV Be’s Ferne McCann: First Time Mum and Channel 4’s new dating show Five Dates A Week. He has guest hosted for Sunday Takeover (Virgin Radio), The Jason Manford Show (Absolute Radio), Drivetime with Eamonn Holmes (TalkRadio), The Breakfast Show (Gaydio) and The Sunday Sessions with Laura Whitmore (BBC 5Live).

He is also a proudly passionate ambassador of LGBTQ+ rights and representation within the media industry, as celebrated by leading publications including Attitude Magazine.
